Pearls Of Wisdom

Mon ,29/12/2008

It has been said that the pearls are the symbol of a woman’s emotions. A pearl symbolizes a woman’s fragility, vulnerability and poetic sadness. The pearl itself is delicate and easily wont to dullness without proper care. The smooth and eternal luster of a pearl can be representative of the tears of a woman sheds in times of joy and sorrow. It reveals many layers of her personality and sentiments, like the pearl itself which is made slowly through layers and layers of nacre produced specifically to protect the oyster that houses the pearl. Even in its creation, there is a symbolic story behind the pearl. Unlike precious gems, which are found deep in the soil of the earth, pearl are born out of live organisms. It is the only living organic gem. The warm waters of the tropics provide a perfect environment for the seas to create smooth, symmetrical and beautifully tinted pearls.

For the past centuries, it has been fashionable to wear different kinds of pearls, and many company has grown that designs and manufactures fine pearl jewelry. So next time you find a pearl in your hands, remember the story it tells and the promises it holds for the future.

Marriage Tips

Sun ,14/12/2008

Life can get so busy that you find you and your spouse feel more like alienated college roommates than a married couple. How can you get quality time together? Sometimes doing the simple things you have to do anyway can provide opportunities to spend time with your favorite person. Why not get groceries together? You can talk as you stroll through the aisles and fill the basket. You can make dinner preparation or clean up a very special time as well. Doing the simple things of life together can keep you both in tune with each other because you have regular opportunities to talk over things while you get done what has to be done anyway.
Go one step further and find fun things to do that you can both enjoy. If your spouse is enjoying a book, read it after they finish and have a special coffee shop meeting to discuss it. If one of you has a penchant for woodworking, the other one can make a twosome out of lumber store visits. And just sitting in the shop and talking while your spouse works can be a way of enjoying time together.
Take some time and look at your schedule. Think about the things that have to be done each day and find ways of sharing those tasks together.

Live Life Luxuriously

Mon ,01/12/2008

It would be pretentious to say that a fair amount of means is not required to live luxuriously. But it would even be more unfair to say that it just takes money to live a luxurious life. God knows how people with just money can be impolite, crass and offensive. Money may be the foundation of a luxurious life, but an independent spirit, a constant inquisitiveness and thirst for learning are still the cornerstone. Perhaps we can even rephrase things a bit and say that the goal would not be to live a luxurious life but to live life luxuriously.

Luxurious is not a modern. The modern world’s concept of a luxurious life is to stereotype, too predictable. Luxury demands a brazen flaunting of what modern life and demands of practicality impose on us. Suddenly,it strikes me that the most luxurious things in our lives are those that have become anachronistic in our fast-paced society. The freedom of choice. The luxury of time. The independence of our own tastes and spirits. The value placed on kindness and good manners. The enjoyment of real reading in this day of click-on, fast food-information. Value this and we nurture our own sense of luxury. The trappings and external are no longer necessary.
